Let’s Color our City

Who doesn’t want to see our city all colored with love, instead of being “gray”
because of the lack of love, making many people lonely and sad.
If we bring people together like in a family, everyone will be happy and will experience
that we are all brothers and sisters.

We want to do something, but what can we do and where do we begin?

A small rule would be enough to change the world. It is contained
in many holy books of all the major religions because
it is a rule which is written deep in the heart of every human being:
“Do to others what you would have them do to you and do not do to others
what you would not have them do to you!”
This rule is so important and precious that it has been called the Golden Rule.
Let’s try to live it, starting with the person right next to us in this moment.

To color our city let’s calculate the cost and draw up a plan

(+)
Let’s unite with all our friends who share the same Ideal.
Let’s make a solemn pact to always love one another.
Then let’s take a look around us and size up our city
Let’s choose together where to start to color the city with our love.

(:)
Let’s share with others not only what we have but who we are.
Let’s cry with those who are crying, and be happy with those who are happy,
without ever stopping.

(-)
There are people who are poor, lonely, or rejected by others.
What can we do?
Let’s go out towards them every day!
If someone is hungry, let’s bring him or her something to eat.
Let’s give clothes to those who don’t have any,
and comfort those who are alone.
Let’s go to them not only loaded with material goods
but also ready to give our time, our attention,
or say hello, or listen to them.
Let’s comfort them with our smiles
and not leave anyone alone.

(X)
Let’s  multiply our love,
Widen our horizons and go toward everyone.
Anyone who passes by us, rich or poor,
Beautiful or ugly, talented or not,
of my religion or of the other,
is a neighbor to be loved.
Let’s discover the richness in each neighbor
and let’s start a conversation with them,
looking for what unites us.
And many will follow us.

(%)
It won’t always be easy because every commitment costs.
If someone makes fun of us, let’s forgive them.
Let’s do all our part and when we can’t reach someone,
let’s entrust it to God,
without setting limits to our goals.
We will receive a hundred times as much.

(=)
But if God is with us,
one city is not enough.
Let’s aim at universal brotherhood,
at a united world.
We also need each one of you,
we need your colored painting
to reach the goal.
Let’s give our best every day,
so that we never have to regret
having loved too little.
